In short
Curity manages Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) for Townsville professional practices: user and tenant administration, Entra ID identity, multi-factor authentication and Conditional Access, Intune device management, licensing reviews, Teams and SharePoint, migrations from other platforms and preparing your data and permissions for Microsoft Copilot.
Managed day to day
New starters, leavers, mailbox and Teams changes, shared mailboxes and calendars handled properly and documented.
Securing your tenant
MFA for everyone, Conditional Access, administrator protection, email security and alerts on risky sign-ins.
Licensing that fits
We review what you pay for against what you use, so you aren’t missing protection or paying for licences no one needs.
Moving to Microsoft 365
Migrations from on-premises servers, other email platforms or a previous provider’s tenant, planned around your practice hours.
Teams and SharePoint
File structures and permissions that make sense for your practice, so the right people see the right client files.
Copilot readiness
Before Copilot is switched on we check who can see what, because Copilot can surface anything a user already has access to.
Getting ready for Copilot: permissions and data first
Microsoft 365 Copilot works with the files, emails and chats a user can already access. If permissions are too broad, Copilot can bring sensitive client or staff information to the wrong person. We review sharing, permissions and sensitivity labels first, then pilot Copilot with a small group.
Questions about Microsoft 365
Who provides Microsoft 365 support in Townsville?
Curity IT Solutions provides Microsoft 365 administration, security, licensing and migrations for Townsville professional practices as part of managed IT or as a project.
Is Office 365 the same as Microsoft 365?
Mostly, yes. In 2020 Microsoft renamed its Office 365 business plans to Microsoft 365, so if you have Office 365 you are almost certainly on a Microsoft 365 plan today. We support both the older and current plans and can check which licence each of your staff is on.
Which Microsoft 365 licence does a small practice need?
Many professional practices are best served by a business licence that includes advanced security and device management, such as Microsoft 365 Business Premium, but the right mix depends on your staff and systems. We review this as part of a health check.
Is Microsoft 365 backed up by Microsoft?
Microsoft keeps the service running, but it isn’t a full backup of your data. Deleted or encrypted data can be lost after retention periods. We recommend a separate Microsoft 365 backup.
Is Copilot safe for a law firm or medical practice?
It can be, if permissions and data are in order first and staff understand how to use it. We review access before rollout and help you set an AI use policy.
